You’re so strong. -everybody

I hate when people say that.

What does that mean? That I wake up in the morning? That they’re glad it’s not them?

That I didn’t follow suit?

WHAT DO THEY MEAN??

Will I ever know? Who knows.

But I do know that most days I do wake up. And I do get my kids ready for school. I work. And plan for the future. I bathe. And clean my house. I buy clothes. And I schedule vacations.

I even worry about current political events.

Question: has anyone had a spouse die and have people tell them they’re NOT strong? That they’re failing at this “after death” part of the vows?

Well, you know what? I’m currently drinking. And eating ice cream. And angry.

Am I still “so strong?”
